The four things that make IT support feel broken

These are the four complaints we hear most often from businesses arriving from another provider. Our entire service is built to be the opposite.

You can't get hold of anyone when it matters

Businesses don't leave their IT provider over price, they leave because when something breaks, nobody picks up the phone.

Everything is reactive, and reactive is expensive

If your IT firm only shows up when something is on fire, you pay twice, once for the downtime, again for the rushed fix.

Too many vendors, nobody owning the outcome

Helpdesk, security firm, broadband, software vendor, all blaming each other. You end up project-managing your own incident.

IT decisions made on instinct, not evidence

Without someone in your corner who understands the business, IT spend drifts, extra licences, late refreshes, gaps nobody flagged.

Reliable IT, and a real person to call

We don't sell a portal. We don't sell tiered SLA brochures. We sell a long-term relationship with a small, experienced team that knows your business and is one WhatsApp message away when you need it.

A real person, on WhatsApp, when it matters

Our helpdesk runs on WhatsApp, send a screenshot, get a reply in minutes from someone who already knows your setup.

Proactive monitoring, not reactive panic

Devices, servers, networks and backups watched continuously, most issues caught and resolved before anyone in your business notices.

One accountable team, end to end

Helpdesk, monitoring, patching, backups, security and supplier liaison, owned by one team that knows your setup. You call us.

Honest strategic guidance, in plain English

Regular reviews in plain English, what's happened, what's coming, and where the IT spend should and shouldn't go next.

Let's talk about your setup

How we keep your IT running

Most managed-support contracts look the same on paper. The difference shows up in what actually happens between incidents, which is most of the time. Our monitoring runs continuously across the layers below, with alerts coming to us first, not to your reception.

Patching is scheduled and tested, not pushed blindly. Backups are verified by actual test-restores, not by green ticks in a dashboard. Security posture is reviewed on a cadence we own. User accounts are added, moved and removed cleanly, joiners, movers and leavers, so the audit trail holds up when somebody asks.

The point isn't the dashboard. The point is that the day keeps running because the small problems were fixed while they were still small, and when something genuinely needs a human, you reach one straight away.

Compliance frameworks we work with

Audits, assessments and client due-diligence questionnaires don't reward last-minute scrambles. They reward businesses whose IT was already set up properly, where backups run and are tested, access is controlled and logged, encryption is in place on the kit that leaves the building, and the evidence is on file before anyone asks for it.

We don't tick boxes. We build the controls in so the evidence is there when an assessor, or a client, asks. The frameworks below shape how we configure your IT; the goal is that compliance becomes a quiet by-product of doing the work properly, not a quarterly fire-drill.

GDPR

Lawful basis, retention, access and breach handling, built into how we configure your estate, not bolted on after the fact.

Cyber Essentials

The government-backed baseline more clients and regulators now expect, we configure your IT so the controls line up with what an assessor wants to see.

Regulated-sector practice

Twenty years working alongside CQC, IG and DSPT obligations in dental and clinical settings, the discipline carries over into any regulated business.

What working with us looks like

A long-term relationship with a small, experienced team that gets to know your business and stays with it. That's what we sell. Here's the shape of it.

1. Discovery

A no-pressure conversation about how the business actually runs, what we'd change, what we'd leave alone, roughly what it would cost.

2. Audit & plan

We audit the kit, licences, backups and documentation, then give you a plain-English summary of what works, what's at risk, what we'd prioritise.

3. Smooth handover

A structured takeover from your current IT firm, admin access, monitoring and backups handled in the background, day-to-day work uninterrupted.

4. Day-to-day & reviews

Monitoring runs in the background, the WhatsApp helpdesk is one message away, and we sit down regularly to plan what the business needs next.

Curious if we'd be a fit?

A short conversation. We'll be honest about whether we're the right firm for you.

The questions buyers actually ask

The questions that matter most are usually the ones that need a back-and-forth. Send a message, or pick up the phone.

How do we actually reach you when something goes wrong?

However suits you. WhatsApp, phone or email. WhatsApp is how most of our clients reach us day to day because it's fast, it's where their team already lives, and it lets you send a screenshot in seconds. Every issue is logged behind the scenes regardless of how it came in, so nothing slips through and we can see patterns over time. You reach a real person who already knows your setup, not a triage queue.

What does your response time actually look like?

We don't publish a hard SLA on this page because the honest answer depends on what's happened and what's already on fire. The practical answer for our existing clients is: fast, by a real engineer, on WhatsApp. If something genuinely can't wait, a server down, email out, a ransomware alert, we move straight to a call and a hands-on response. We'd rather show you what response actually looks like in a conversation than dress it up in a chart that doesn't survive contact with reality.

Are you on call 24/7?

We're honest about this: we're not a 24/7 NOC, and we won't pretend to be. We're a small, experienced team that takes its support obligations seriously, and when something genuinely can't wait, we'll be there. For most SMEs the round-the-clock claim from a generalist IT firm doesn't survive contact with reality, what actually matters is whether someone competent answers when you need them. That's the bit we're good at, and we'd rather under-promise it than over-sell it.

Can you work alongside our existing IT person or team?

Yes. We can fully manage your IT or complement an in-house team, taking on monitoring, security, out-of-hours cover, project work, or specific systems like Microsoft 365 while your internal person focuses on the day-to-day. We're easy to work with on this; we'd rather solve the actual problem than fight over scope. Plenty of our clients have an internal IT lead, the relationship works because we're additive, not territorial.

What tools and platforms do you actually support?

The mainstream business stack. Microsoft 365, Windows, Mac, the security and device-management layer underneath it (including Intune where it's the right fit), the backup and identity tooling, and the line-of-business software our clients run on top. Specific product branding aside, the point is that we already know the categories, and where we don't know a specific product, we learn it quickly.

What does onboarding look like?

Structured, quiet, and finished without the business noticing. We audit your current setup, document what's there and what's missing, take secure handover of admin access from your existing provider, configure monitoring and backups properly, and brief your team on how to reach us. Most onboardings run in the background over a few weeks. From your team's point of view, the lights stay on and the helpdesk number changes, that's about it.

Can you help us with Cyber Essentials and GDPR obligations?

Yes. We configure backups, access control, encryption and monitoring so they line up with what Cyber Essentials assessors and GDPR look for, and so the evidence is already on file when you need it. We won't claim accreditations we don't hold, but the controls we put in place are designed so compliance becomes a quiet by-product of doing the work properly, not a quarterly fire-drill.

What does it cost?

One agreed monthly price, scoped to your business, no surprise invoices. The figure depends on team size, the kit involved, the software stack and the level of cover you actually need; we'd rather quote honestly after a short conversation than publish a misleading sticker price. After the discovery call you'll have a clear number, and the contract is written so you know exactly what's in scope and what isn't.

Can we leave if it isn't working out?

Yes, you're not locked in. We'd rather lose a client gracefully than keep one who isn't happy; that's how relationships in regulated sectors actually work. The door is never locked.
